What that means is that while most of the procedure will be the same as regular in vitro, the one difference is that the embryologist will insert a single sperm directly into the mature egg. With all of the great technology now available to fertility doctors and technicians, they are able to find the mature sperm and use them to attempt to fertilize the egg in the lab.
